Privacy Policy
The nature of the products and services which Tartan Homes Corporation (“Tartan”) provides to its customers (including purchasers and prospective purchasers) requires that personal information is collected from time to time. Tartan is committed to respecting the privacy and confidentiality of a customer’s personal information.
Tartan collects personal information in order to better serve and communicate with its customers, to develop suitable products for its customers, and to efficiently conclude contractual obligations in the course of delivering housing product to its customers.
When a customer visits a Tartan sales office or the Tartan website, certain personal information may be requested by Tartan. A customer will not be compelled or induced to provide personal information, it need only be given voluntarily. By providing such information the customer consents to disclosing it to Tartan. If consent is withheld, Tartan may not be able to meet the customers needs efficiently or at all.
Once obtained by Tartan, personal information will not be sold, shared, disclosed or otherwise imparted to a third party unless:
i)Tartan is compelled by law;
ii)Tartan must necessarily do so in order to properly prosecute or defend a legal action;
iii)The information is necessarily disclosed in furtherance of the stated purpose for which it was collected; or
iv)The customer provides its consent;
Tartan will maintain in force internal practices and procedures which will be designed to ensure the confidentiality of a customer’s personal information.
