Tarion Award of Excellence Finalist!

Tartan Homes has always made customer service a top priority.  And in 2010 we were rewarded as a Tarion Award of Excellence finalist!  Presented by the Tarion Warranty Corporation, these awards recognize the top new home builders in Ontario, based on customer service performance ranked by a massive survey of customers.

Tartan, selected as a finalist in the Large Volume Builder category, was the only Ottawa home builder recognized as a finalist in any category.

The awards are based on a survey conducted on behalf of Tarion by Harris/Decima and Crunch Research. Questions covered every stage of the after-sales homeowner-builder relationship: from the signing of the Agreement of Purchase and Sale, through construction and the pre-delivery period, to after-sales service.

"We're very gratified with being Ottawa's only finalist in 2010's Tarion Awards of Excellence," says Tartan President Ian Nicol.  "The entire Tartan Homes organization has made customer service and customer focus central to everything we do.  The recognition is great, but knowing that our customers are satisfied is what really matters most."Tartan Homes is pleased to have been recently recognized for its outstanding new home designs in two separate Ottawa awards programs and for its work in energy efficient home design.

At the 2011 Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association SAMMY Awards (Sales and Marketing), Tartan won three awards:
Best Builder Website
Best Bunglalow Single:  The Linden model home in Findlay Creek
Best Semi-Detached Home 1500 sq. ft. and Over:  The White Cedar model home in Findlay Creek
At the 2010 Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association Design Awards, Tartan won one award in the large builder category:
Royal Edward model (Jackson Trails): Production Bathroom
At the 2010 Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association SAMMY Awards, Tartan also won two major awards:
Lindsay model (Jackson Trails): best single under 2,000 sq. ft
Moccaccino: Best Condominium - Low Rise   

At the 2009 Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association Design Awards, Tartan walked away with three awards in the large builder category:
Attached Housing - 1801 sq. ft or more - Aspen model (Findlay Creek Village)
Single Detached 3500 sq. ft or more - Whitney model (Findlay Creek Village)
Low rise condos – Java Condominium Flats 

At the 2009 Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association SAMMY Awards, Tartan also won three major awards:    
Glenburne model (Findlay Creek Village): best single 2500-2999 sq. ft    
Ellis (soho): best semi detached 1500 sq. ft or over    
Scots Pine (Jackson Trails) - best semi detached home 1500 sq ft or less
