As you may be aware, Tiger Lily Park was completed in 2008 and is fully open to the public. Dragon Fly Park construction was started in the fall of 2008 and completed in the spring of 2009.
The City of Ottawa has started the design work on both the large community central park as well as the small neighbourhood park located on White Alder Avenue. The exact schedule and timing to complete the design work and construct the park is under the City's authority. Tigerlily Park, Landscape Concept Plan
All parks are owned and operated by the City of Ottawa. Their responsibilities include park design, construction, and maintenance. Tartan Homes and Tamarack Homes have elected to advance the funds for park construction to the City in order for the park to be built sooner than when the City would be able to construct it. As you may be aware, the Pioneer Plains Park design is now complete and construction of the park began late in the fall of 2008 and completed in 2009. As you may be aware, the construction of the pathway through the conservation area has been completed and is open to the public. The pathway in the conservation area will be connected to the pathways in the Pioneer Plains Park and will be open to the public once park construction is complete. The pathway in the conservation area will also connect to the pathway system around the storm water management pond once completed. As further information becomes available to Tartan, we will advise you in future community updates.
